Sales Development Representative
SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Position Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) drives new business opportunities for the organization by identifying and qualifying leads, expanding into new markets, and supporting the sales pipeline. This inside sales role focuses on prospecting, customer development, and coordination with outside sales and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to opportunity execution. The SDR plays a key role in maintaining accurate sales data, supporting reporting needs, and representing the company’s products and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Identifies and develops new leads and opportunities, including entry into new markets, and hands off qualified opportunities to Outside Sales once prospects reach defined opportunity criteria.
· Utilizes all available sales prospecting tools, systems, and resources to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
· Maintains a strong focus on assigned automotive and non-automotive market segments to support strategic growth initiatives.
· Creates, maintains, and communicates sales activity and customer development reports, including work request and project status reports.
· Follows the KFI sales playbook from initial prospecting through opportunity qualification to ensure consistency and pipeline growth.
· Works with assigned company accounts to develop relationships, identify needs, and support ongoing sales efforts.
· Enters all customer interactions into the CRM system throughout the day, including phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
· Maintains and updates the company sales database to support sales initiatives and data integrity.
· Prepares customer product expectations and pricing quotations in coordination with internal teams as needed.
· Collaborates with Customer Service to improve back-office processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
· Develops product and application knowledge to effectively address customer needs and promote new or additional services.
· Creates reports and correspondence for customer and departmental use.
· Assists the Sales Department and Sales Managers during absences or as business needs require.
· Supports Outside Sales by assisting with auto-generated reports and other sales-related tasks as needed.
Desired Qualifications
· Experience in inside sales, business development, or customer-facing roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
· Strong prospecting, communication, and relationship-building skills
· Proficiency with CRM systems and sales prospecting tools
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
Work Environment + Language Requirements
• Global remote position
• Requires at least 4 hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time each day
• Minimal or no travel
• Fluency in the English language; written and verbal proficiency (B2 level minimum on CEFR scale)
• Reports to U.S.-based Sales Leadership
